Love is in the air

I had the pleasure of making the desserts for a very special couple's wedding day. Weddings are a special moment of celebration and remembrance. Watching two people dedicate themselves publicly in front of those that they love as witnesses to the love and bond that they share, not only to celebrate in it, but to be reminders to them when times get hard. Remind them of the sacred bond that they joined in, committed to, and to look deep within themselves to remember why.

Not only do weddings celebrate the love and commitment being shared that day, but gives way to the love that was lived by those around the newly weds. At this particular wedding, there were several marriages reaching 30, 40, even 55 years long. A testament to what a lifetime of love, commitment, communication, and compromise can really gain.
